For as long as I can remember, my family has been making cookies for every holiday. My favorite cookie growing up as a young kid was always the Snickerdoodles. I used to ride dirtbikes, and the family would travel with me to watch me race. People would always ask me to bring them cookies in high school, so I would. Then one day I got the idea to start a fundraiser selling our family's cookies to help pay for my racing and my family traveling with me. I proposed the idea to my family, and they liked it. Except the only thing is that Pap said we should get inspected and certified just to make sure we are safe. So I started to look into the paperwork that is required to sell homemade cookies. After some research, I found what was needed, and filled out some documents with Nana and Pap. We sent the paperwork in, and shortly after we got approved. That's when I made the Bingenheimer's Baked Goods Facebook page and made the first post on April 1st, 2024. I announced that we were officially selling to the public and created a google form that people could order from. That April we fulfilled 35 small orders from local people and from selling in school. The first year for me (2024) was all about learning to manage orders and learning how to advertise the cookies. I had a lot of free time my last two years of high school, and instead of scrolling on my phone, I sat down on my school laptop and learned how to run a business. My school knew me for being the "cookie man" because of this, and I was always seen carrying around cookie orders for people. Now that I have graduated in 2025, I am fully invested in leading Bingenheimer's Baked Goods. In May of 2025, we brought home an enclosed trailer and began construction to turn it into our cookie trailer. I believed that having a cookie trailer would help grow the business and get the word out there about our cookies. In September we set up with the trailer for the first time 5 minutes away from our location at our local tractor pulls. It was a really cool experience. Since then we have gotten better at scheduling the trailer, and met a lot of new customers because of it. As of now I am almost always the one out on the road with the cookie trailer talking to people. It is always a pleasure meeting every single person, and I am thankful that God is using me to spread joy in this way. I am always looking for new ways to level up the customer experience and I truly care about everyone. I am very thankful to have the support of my girlfriend Kylee Middlesworth. I met her in high school, and now she goes to college at Messiah University for Christian Ministry and Business Administration. I love spending time with her in my free time. Kylee if you are reading this I love you very much! I love seeing the progress of the business and it has come a long way already. I am very thankful to be able to work along side my family, and collectively as a family we have a lot of ideas coming your way down the road. Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. God is good! Something I have learned since starting this business is the importance of acting on good ideas. If you have a good idea, don't be afraid to act on it, because as long as you learn something, you can count it as a win. Let God guide you through it all and be willing to serve the purpose he has for you.
